From Leadership to Coaching: My Journey

I’m Michelle Chase

My path to coaching wasn’t linear, but it gave me everything I needed to guide other women through their own transitions. I spent more than 20 years leading teams across banking, fitness, and commercial real estate.

  • Banking Leadership: I managed high-pressure teams where being “the strong one” wasn’t optional. I learned firsthand how toxic environments can erode confidence, decision-making, and self-trust.

  • Fitness & Coaching: My fitness background taught me the connection between body, mind, and resilience. I’ve applied these principles to my coaching, helping women strengthen both mentally and physically.

  • Chief Operating Officer – Commercial Real Estate: Leading operations at a major firm honed my strategic thinking, communication skills, and ability to navigate complex workplace dynamics.

Each role shaped the way I coach today: grounded in lived experience, focused on real-world solutions, and rooted in emotional intelligence.

Fitness and Mind-Body Integration

Fitness isn’t just what I do, it’s a philosophy I bring to coaching. I know how stress and burnout accumulate in the body, and I’ve built programs that integrate movement, breathwork, and nervous system support to help women feel steady, clear, and empowered.

Whether it’s guiding women through a fitness-inspired reflection in a workshop or using body-based practices in private coaching, I help clients reconnect with their physical and emotional resilience.

Coaching Philosophy

I created Empower Shift Coaching to give women the support I wished I had. My work is for high-achieving women who feel stuck, exhausted, undervalued, or ready for change.

I combine:

  • Clarity: understanding what’s really happening in your career and life

  • Ownership: rebuilding confidence, boundaries, and leadership identity

  • Intention: making decisions that align with who you are becoming

Everything I teach is rooted in experience, both my own and the many women I’ve worked with. My goal is to help you see your patterns, reclaim your power, and move into your next chapter with confidence and purpose.
